What is better than to go fishing with your rod in crystall clear water, surrounded by high alpine mountains?

Here we list the fishing waters around the hotel:

Fuschlsee

Kinds of fish: lake trout, char, river trout, white fish, pike, tench, carp, eel, perch, roach,
Season: from 1. April until 30. November
Bait and equipment allowed: 2 rods are allowed, per rod one Hegene rig is allowed with maximal 5 nymphs. Live bait is not allowed.
Limit: there is a limit of up to 7 rich fish (Salmoniden - trout family) including 2 (Maränen - belong to the salmon family) per day. All other fish, such as pike, white fish etc. are not limited.
Fishing cards can be obtained from: the Shell petrol station in Fuschl am See - Seehotel Schlick, Kaufhaus Huber (shop), Camping Seeholz, BP petrol station, Tourist Office, Fisherman`s Partner.

With its 265 hectares and a depth of 69 metres at the deepest point, the Fuschlsee lies at an altitude of 664 metres. It is one of the favourite fishing lakes in the Salzkammergut. Earlier it was the fish supplier for the Salzburg Archbishops.

Hintersee

Season: 1. May until 30. September from 06.00 until 21.00 h.
Protected season, no fishing:
greyling: 01.01 until 31.05
koppe: 01.03 until 31.05
river trout: 01.10 until 28.02
lake trout: 01.10 until 31.12
Elritze/Pfrille: 01.04 until 30.06
lake char: 16.10 until 31.12
Bait allowed: maggots, pastry, blinker, artificial bait, dead fish (from own waters only), one Hegene rig with 5 hooks, flies, ground fish only with single hook!
Limit: per day 4 Salmoniden and 20 minnows (Pfrillen) may be caught. All other fish have no limit.
Fishing cards can be obtained from: Kiosk Hirschpoint on the lake side, Gasthof Alte Post, Gasthof Fischerwirt, petrol station Wörndl, Kaufhaus Wenger (shop) & the Tourist Office.

The Hintersee is approx. 70 hectares and has a maximum depth of 22 metres. The lake banks are free of buildings and there is a path around the lake, so that the fishing places can easily be reached.

Wiestalsee:

Season: 1. March until 30. September from 06 00 until 21.00h.
Limit: 4 Edelfische! Only one rod (2 hooks), worm fishing is not allowed, as also feeding the fish!
Kinds of fish: river trout, rainbow trout, char ,perch, tench, chub, roach, (pike perch and grayling - not allowed)
Lake surface: approx. 110 hectares
