Deer feeding in Hintersee

The forest warden has a lot to do this Winter. Up to 150 deer must daily be fed at the feeding mangers.

Unbelievable that theres shy animals come so near, almost 5 metres.

The animals are free, not in a compound, only the woods are their home.

To help them get through the Winter and to help them keep their strength the deer are fed daily with hay, raw food and beet at 14.30 h. at 11 different feeding stations.

From a hut and a specially built tribune you can watch the deer being fed, a wonderful, natural experience.
